City of Greater Geelong

Geelong is among the largest of 79 Councils which collectively represent approximately 5 million Victorians. While each Council is independent there are common rules, mainly in the form of State Legislation, which provide the framework in which Councils operate.

Our Vision:
Geelong: coast, country and suburbs is the best place to live through prosperous and cohesive communities in an exceptional environment.

Our Mission:
We will focus on developing and maintaining effective working relationships to deliver Councils strategic directions and high quality services that meet the changing needs of our community.

With a view over spires and heritage rooftops to the waterfront, Geelong warmly invites you to rediscover a more relaxed lifestyle with all the benefits of a city and natures playground just minutes away. Turn left off at the Princes Highway, or arrive in comfort via rail or coach and explore.
