Australian of the Year 2018 Exhibition

Australian of the Year 2018 Exhibition

On show at the Geelong Regional Library and Heritage Centre Victoria
9 June ' 4 August 2018

Each year our nation celebrates the achievements and contribution of extraordinary Australians through the Australian of the Year Awards. These leading citizens are role models who inspire and challenge us all to create a better Australia.

The National Museum of Australia uses objects to tell stories to connect with others and make us think. We asked Australian of the Year recipients from each state and territory to choose an object of personal significance that communicates something about their lives aspirations and experiences. Here are their stories.

This exhibition was developed by the National Museum of Australia in collaboration with the National Australia Day Council. Portrait images courtesy National Australia Day Council.
