Our spectacular Floating Christmas Tree has returned to the bay for Christmas in Geelong 2025 with Sound and Light Shows being staged nightly from 8.30pm.
Come and visit the tree and witness the sound and light show in-person.
About the tree
This is the 11th year of Geelong's Floating Christmas Tree!
Featuring 800 lights and is moored at Steampacket Quay, Waterfront Geelong, near the Carousel.
Shows
Our spectacular Floating Christmas Tree sound and light show will be staged each night between 8:30pm and midnight.
The shows are approximately six minutes in length and play every 15 minutes.
22 November 2025 to 7 January 2026
There are two shows to enjoy:
22 November - 25 December 2025
26 December - 7 January 2026
Make sure you make plans to see them all. Each has a different light show and music production worth catching!
While you're at the waterfront watching the show you can even control the tree! To select the colour of the Floating Christmas Tree from your phone, simply visit geelongchristmastree.com.au once the light show has ended.
Ticketing
Bookings not required, entry into the Carousel pavilion is free. Those wishing to enjoy a ride on the Carousel will need to purchase a ticket onsite.
This event is proudly presented by the City of Greater Geelong as part of the Christmas in Geelong program.
