Sovereign Hill is an open-air museum located in an area famous for gold mining in the 1850s. Visitors can explore exhibits brought to life by performers in costume and enter shops hotels a theatre schools factories a gold museum and underground mines.

Pan for real gold wander iconic streets and buildings and see traditional trades and demonstrations (like confectionary making) live in action.

Lion parades
A colourful feast for the senses as processional lions weave through our historic streets accompanied by music and dancing.
