AFL Grand Final 2026

There is no bigger day on Australia's sporting calendar than the Australian Football League Grand Final.

The Grand Final game is the culmination of 23 home and away matches 25 rounds of football plus elimination, semi and preliminary finals.

One grand final game to determine the premier team for the 2026 season. There can be only one winner! Who will it be?

The AFL Grand Final will be played in front of 100k fans at the MCG and for an estimated 80m television audience world-wide.

Tied Scores (End of game)
* Time on will be played if the scores are tied at the end of the 4th quarter. After a six-minute break, the game will resume with two three-minute halves - plus time on. Teams will change ends at the end of the first three-minute half, but there will be no break, with play immediately resuming once the players are set. If the scores are still tied at the end of the two three-minute halves, the process of playing another two three-minute halves will be repeated until a winner is found.

* Traditionally played on the last Saturday in September.
