The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever

The Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever is a worldwide celebration inspired by Kate Bush's iconic hit Wuthering Heights. Participants, affectionately known as "Cathys", gather dressed in red to perform the famous choreography from the music video, while friends and supporters, known as "Heathcliffs", cheer them on, capture the moment and enjoy the spectacle.

Inspired by Shambush's The Ultimate Kate Bush Experience, first staged in Brighton, England, in 2013 as part of the Brighton Fringe Festival, the event has grown into a global phenomenon attracting thousands of participants each year.

Most Wuthering Heights Day Ever Australia 2026

Australia has become one of the world's biggest supporters of the event, with gatherings taking place in cities and regional centres across the country.

Events will once again be held across Australia in parks and open spaces to celebrate Kate Bush's music while supporting local charities and causes.

Whether you're dancing as a Cathy in your finest red dress or attending as a Heathcliff to encourage family and friends, everyone is welcome to join this unique celebration.

Brisbane: Saturday, 18th July 2026, at Frew Park, Milton.

Canberra: Saturday, 1st August, Location TBA.

Gold Coast: Sunday, 19th July 2026, at The Great Lawn, Broadwater Parklands.

Melbourne: Sunday, 19th July 2026, from 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM at Edinburgh Gardens, North Fitzroy. It is a free, all-abilities event raising funds for Safe Steps Victoria.

Perth: Saturday 18th July, 2026. Dance to Wuthering Heights, Middle Swan WA for fun and fundraising for Lung Foundation Australia.
